ENSO Biodegradable Plastic Bottles
ENSO brings biodegradable technology to the PET bottle industry. ENSO accelerates the natural biodegradation of plastics in biologically active landfills and anaerobic digesters as validated by independent certified laboratories using internationally recognized test methods. ENSO bottles are made only from FDA recognized materials which are deemed "food grade".
ENSO biodegradable technology is utilized in a broad range of PET Plastic preform gram weights, neck finishes and blown bottles in almost any shape and size.
ENSO is comprised of organic materials designed to attract microbial activity. These microorganisms upon consuming the ENSO material excrete enzymes that weaken and depolymerize the plastic. The final result is biogases and inert humus.
Most plastic products on the market today cannot attract enough (if any) microbial activity to begin breaking down the polymer's molecular structure, thus leaving the process of reclamation to light, heat, mechanical stress and moisture.
Products enhanced with ENSO maintain the same physical properties (shelf life, texture, clarity, appearance, oxygen transfer rate, etc) as traditional PET plastic bottles, however, once ENSO bottles are placed in a landfill "microbial" environment our bottles break down into bio-gases and bio-mass.

ENSO specializes in accelerating the biodegradation of PET preform products and HDPE bottles, and blowing those preforms into finished bottles. Customers with a blow molding machine in house will find the process of blowing ENSO preforms into high quality PET bottles similar to that of a standard PET preform without modifications to current equipment.

A PET preform enhanced with ENSO can be blown into almost any shape or size of finished bottle. To optimize bottle blowing costs, we organize the blowing of bottles in the vicinity of the customer’s location. The production of bottles from PET plastic can be done in a One Stage Process or Two Stage Process. One Stage Process:
A PET preform is produced and blown intoa bottle in one and the same production-line.
Two Stage Process:
A PET preform is produced on a separate production-line and afterwards blown into bottles on another machine.
The advantage of a two stage process yields a higher output per unit time, and enables the geographic distribution of preform and bottle production. Transport costs and environmental impact with shipping preforms is significantly lower than shipping the same quantity of blown bottles.
Biodegradable Plastic Containers - Additive Only

Companies with in house injection capabilities will find our specially formulated resin a turnkey solution to accelerating biodegradation of their containers. The resin is added during the injection phase with no needed modification to current equipment or process.
